After graduating in 2019, they later went on to continue their dance education. He soon graduated in May of 2023 with a BA in dance from James Madison University. During their time in school, he was very active in performance, choreography, technique, and teaching. Working under many esteemed professors and guest artists such as: Ryan Corriston, Cynthia Thompson, Matt Pardo, Fran Kirmser, and Tiffanie Carson to name a few. Jo has such a passion for choreographing and has had many works featured in student showcases while in college. He also had the opportunity to act as an Associate Co-Director of the First Year Dance Ensemble at JMU. In this position, Jo and a classmate, set work on half of the first year students each semester. Alongside choreographing, they crafted their teaching technique and graduated with a teaching philosophy of “anyone can dance!”
A quick fun fact about Jo is that they have a dog named Mama, and a cat named Misa. They
are very excited to be a part of the Arts in Motion team and hope to bring light, laughter, and
movement into your children's lives, one class at a time.
