The health and safety of our students, staff, and their families, are our top priorities here at AIM. We've consulted the Virginia Department of Health and several physicians and infectious disease experts to develop our COVID-19 policies. We want AIM to be the safest place your family visits all week!
We have put the following policies and procedures in place:
Students ages 2 and under are not required to wear masks.
Students over the age of 2 who have not been vaccinated are required to wear masks while in the building, including during class.
Fully vaccinated students (both shots, + two weeks) have the option of dancing maskless.
Staff are required to wear masks while teaching classes in which students are age 12 and under. For classes in which students are age 13 and up, staff who are fully vaccinated (both shots + two weeks) have the option of teaching maskless.
The lobby is closed to parents and traffic flow in the lobby is controlled to maintain a low building occupancy and social distancing.
Bathrooms are cleaned and sanitized regularly while the building is open.
Common area surfaces (seating, door handles, etc.) are cleaned every hour when the building is open.
Dancers who have any symptoms are required to take class from home via Zoom for at least 3 days after they are symptom-free or until they get two negative COVID-19 tests.
Online class is ALWAYS available for any student for any reason. Each class is streamed on Zoom each week, regardless of the class size or if students are scheduled to be online.
