The health and safety of our students, staff, and their families, are our top priorities here at AIM. We've consulted the Virginia Department of Health and several physicians and infectious disease experts to develop our COVID-19 policies. We want AIM to be the safest place your family visits all week!
We have put the following policies and procedures in place:
Mask policy: All students, staff, and parents/family members are required to wear masks at all times while in the building. We have extra masks on hand if you forget yours.
The lobby is closed to parents and traffic flow in the lobby is controlled to maintain a low building occupancy and social distancing. Parents of young dancers are welcome in the building to drop off and pick up their dancers. We ask that parents step out of the building once class begins.
Bathrooms and common area surfaces (seating, cubbies, door handles, etc.) are cleaned and sanitized regularly while the building is open.
We have Medify air purifiers with HEPA filters in each classroom, which are on and running at all times while the building is open.
Dancers who have any symptoms are required to take class from home via Zoom for at least 3 days after they are symptom-free or until they get two negative COVID-19 tests.
Online class via Zoom is ALWAYS available for any student for any reason. Each class is streamed on Zoom each week, regardless of the class size or if students are scheduled to be online. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to let us know if your child will be attending class via Zoom.
