Natasha Blush (he/she/they)
Studio Manager
Natasha is an artist and educator living in Richmond, VA. They are a professional body artist, face painter, and glittertender. You'll find Natasha at various Richmond events like Makers Market and VA Pride, offering unique and colorful face paint designs.
Natasha wants to make everyone feel beautiful, and they spend their free time painting their own face and arms with flowers, bugs, and magical creatures of all kinds. As a dancer, Natasha started learning American Tango and other ballroom dances in middle school. He joined VCU's Ballroom Dance Club in 2010, and was the vice president for its first year. Natasha's current favorite dance is Brazillian Zouk, which she's been learning since 2019. Natasha's dance background has helped them learn more about their own body. She hopes that others can do the same. While pursuing a BFA from VCU's Sculpture + Extended Media Department, Natasha's studio practice focused on dance and movement with a participatory audience. Through gentle instruction, participants were asked to engage with their own bodies and start conversations of self care. Natasha facilitated these experiences and was given the Dean Award for outstanding achievement in his program. Years later, Natasha occasionally teaches at skillshares or dance events to help new dancers fall in love with social dance just like they did. |
