Ella Richmond (she/her)
Ella has been exploring her passion for dance since the age of seven. She began her dance training at a small studio in Baltimore, Maryland. When she moved to Richmond, Virginia in 2014, she continued the her dance training at Arts In Motion Dance Academy. At AIM, she trained in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Pointe, Modern, Contemporary, Hip Hop, and Musical Theater. Ella started at AIM as a Recreational student and eventually danced her way to the Ruby level of the Accelerated Program. Ella was a member of The Ensemble, AIM's student performance company, and was a part of the Work Study Program. In this leadership position, she learned countless occupational and life skills and was an assistant teacher for multiple classes at AIM.
After moving away from Richmond, Ella finished her last few years of high school at Dawn's School of Dance where she continued her student teacher training. She also received the Dancer of The Year award, was named President of the Student Dance Company, performed lead roles in the many performances, and was an assistant and a lead teacher. She also danced on DSoD's Competition Team, in which she received multiple awards for her solo, duet, and group routines, including a Judge's Award. Ella knows firsthand that sparking a love of the performing arts starts with a passionate instructor. She works to build confidence in her students and fill her classes with love and safety, while encouraging her students to be the best dancer and person they can be. Ella is currently on faculty at AIM and Dawn's School of Dance, two studios she holds dear to her heart. She is excited to continue teaching and learning and plans to audition for professional dance opportunities in the future. |
