Recreational dance classes for ages 6-8

The early years of Elementary School can be daunting and overwhelming. We get it! AIM can help by being a consistent, safe outlet for your child outside of school where they know exactly what to expect and what’s expected of them. Plus, studies show that dance class can actually improve students’ attention, focus, and memory!

​Our Mini Level classes encourage continued gross motor development, focusing on upper/lower body coordination, balance, and spatial awareness. For your child’s social-emotional learning, we incorporate partner and group exercises, confidence-building language and activities, and constructive feedback. At this age we introduce the exciting (and sometimes scary) idea of stepping outside of our comfort zones to try new things. We emphasize that making mistakes is part of the learning process, which helps build confidence and resilience for years to come.

How it Works

  1. Click the "Reserve Your Spot" button below. You'll be taken to our Customer Portal where you can log into your existing account or register a new account.
  2. Once you're logged in, you'll be able to select the classes you wish to register for from our class schedule.
  3. Enter your payment information and make your first payment.
  4. ​Once your Registration Fee is paid, you're officially registered! We'll reach out within a few days to confirm your registration and answer any questions you may have.
  5. Fall classes begin! We'll see you on the dance floor!​
  6. Classes run perpetually (with breaks), but you're not "locked in." We just need two months' notice of withdrawal if you wish to drop your class(es). Check out calendar here.

Join us at our convenient Henrico location

AIM is located just off the Gaskins Rd South exit off I64 near Deep Run Park and Godwin High School.
We are in the Glen Eagles Shopping Center with Awful Arthur's, Crunch Fitness, Glory Days, and Dunkin. When you turn into the shopping center, head all the way down the left side of the strip mall. You'll see our black awning with our logo on it above our front door.
